Recently we had a client ask us if we could transfer his existing blog at powerblogs.com to his own installation of Wordpress.  The catch was that there were over 3500 posts made over the past two years.    Further adding to the confusion was that there is no straight export of Powerblogs into a readable Wordpress format.  Fortunately, however, there was an export to Movable Type which made the import a multi-step process.

1. Export posts from Powerblogs to Movable Type format.
2. Import posts into Movable Type.
3. Export posts into Wordpress ready format.
4. Import posts into Wordpress (multiple times if necessary).

Now the transfer is complete and MoverMike is back online blogging away on his own server.
